JH Volleyball Earns Another GWOC WIN

The eighth grade Lady Wave earned another GWOC victory last night by defeating Northmont 25-22, 25-20. Alyssa Baumgardner led the Wave with her serving by scoring ten points with six aces. Tanika Ray had three kills and three aces. Courtney Ketzel and Kimmy Martin each had two kills and Dannielle Liebherr, Holly Cameron and Lindy Cummings each added one. The Wave are now 4-2 in the GWOC.
The seventh grade Lady Wave was defeated by Northmont in three tough games. They lost the first game by the score of 15-25 but came back to win the second game by the score of 25-21. They were making a come back in the third game. It was very exciting and they played hard but ended up losing the last game to Northmont by the score of 21-25. For the Lady Wave defense Meghan Bright and Kelsi Smith did a good job. Leading in kills for the offense was Abby Miller with two and Aimee Powell, Kelsey Crandall and Faith Reigle each had one kill. High scores for the match were Kelsey Crandall with seven points and Mariah Kohlhorst and Faith Reigle with six points each.
