Greenville City School Mission Statement
Our mission is to create a quality learning environment that enables the school community to invent highly engaging work for students every day.  As we strive to establish and maintain a high performing, always improving school system that looks to the future, the student and adult knowledge workers will be the focus of the system. Families, businesses, community organizations, and schools will be partners in learning.

NEW FOR 2012-2013!  Greenville City Schools will be expanding learning opportunities to provide parents and students an alternative option to the traditional educational setting starting in the 2012-2013 School Year.  Students can receive a GHS diploma upon successful completion of the program.  Greenville

Virtual Academy is a NEW option available that allows students to work at their own pace in a computer lab, or virtual setting, supported/guided by instructors.  Greenville Virtual Academy is an excellent alternative to home schooling or a student who is struggling in the traditional academic setting.  As our Mission Statement expresses, we are an always improving school system that looks to the future to create a quality learning environment to help all students find success.  Located at Greenville High School, the virtual computer lab, will give students a new educational choice.  Work at your own pace in an engaging and virtual setting supported/guided by GHS instructors.
