Junior High CC competes at Coldwater Invitational

The junior high cross country teams competed in the Coldwater Lions Cross Country Invitational last night.~ The girls' team finished 6th out 14 teams.~ Chloe Mc Kinney finished 7th overall out of 179 runners.~ Ally Hayes was 28th, Zoe Steifel was 36th, Chloe Menning 49th, Hannah Coakely~91st, Monica Laachmann~96th, and Kelly Snder was 137th.~ The boys' team placed 14th out of 18 teams.~ Out of~174 runners Bailey Hartle finished 10th, Krutant Mehta 75th, Jacob~98th, Taylor Day~126th, and Dylan Hackney was 149th.~

Wave Junior High Volleyball rolls over Sidney

The seventh grade volleyball team defeated Sidney in the first match by the score of 25-19. In the second match the Lady Wave tried to come back from behind but they couldn’t pull it off and lost by the score of 21-25. In the third match the Lady Wave had the lead and Sidney came back. Both teams continued to battle for every point until Kelsi Smith went back and served four aces to lead our team to another victory. Final score of the third match was 25-23. Aimee Powell was high scorer with nine points and two kills. Jena Snyder added another eight points while Kelsi Smith and Kelsey Crandall had seven points each. Faith Reigle also served well with six points. Candice Malott had two kills for the offense.

Junior CC Competes at Fairmont

The junior high cross country teams ran in the Fairmont Firebird Invitational on Sat.~ The girls' team placed 5th out of 15 teams. Chloe McKinney finished 13th earning a medal, Ally Hayes was 17th getting a ribbon, Zoe Steifel was 25th also getting a ribbon, also placing for the team were Chloe Menning 31st, Michaela Coby 64th and Monica Laachmann 66th, Hannah Coakely and Kelly Snyder.~ Placing for the boys' team were Bailey~ Hartle 6th and earning a medal, Krutant Mehta, Jacob Hounshell, & Dylan Hackney.

Lady Wave Tennis Competes at the GWOC

Congratulations to the girls tennis team. They competed in the GWOC gold division of the tournament this weekend and Meredith Miles, 1st singles, Abby MacKenzie & Caitlyn Jetter, 1st doubles, Leah Lewis & Michelle Borgerding, 2nd doubles all placed 7th. Sophia Navas-Davis, 2nd singles, and Adila Esaak, 3rd singles, both placed 4th and received medals.

7th Grade Volleyball Defeats Piqua

The seventh grade Lady Wave volleyball team played an awesome game last night against Piqua. THE Lady Wave won the first match by the scores of 25-23. Piqua came back to win the second match by the scores of 13-25, but that didn’t discourage the Lady Wave. They came back strong in the third match for the victory with the scores of 23-25. High scorer for the Lady Wave was Aimee Powell with 11 points and two kills. Jena Snyder and Kelsy Crandall each added another eight points. Kelsi Smith played a great defensive game and Candice Malott had a good game at the net.

8th grade football team gets a big "W"

The 8th grade football team defeated Vandalia-Butler last night 8-0. Quinton Wood scored the only Wave touchdown. Defensively Ryan Ramsey tackled the Butler quarterback in the end zone for a safety, Garrett Griffen had an interception, and the entire defense played outstanding, holding Butler on three goal line stands. Their next game is Wednesday at Trotwood.

Junior High Darke County Cross Country Invitational

The junior high cross country teams competed in the Darke County Invitational last night.~ The girls' team won the meet.~ Chloe McKinney finished 2nd, Ally Hayes was 3rd, Zoe Steifel was 4th, Chloe Menning was 6th,~rounding out a great team effort~were~Micheala Colby, Monica Laackmann, Hannah Coakley and Kelly Snyder.~ The boys' team finished 2nd overall.~ Bailey Hartle won the junior high boys' race.~ Other finishers for the team were: Krutant Mehta, Dylan Hackney, Carson Bruner, Jacob Hounshell, and Taylor Day.~
